Mrs. Tugume Gloria Rwabita, Administration Manager
:
Rwabita My name is Mrs. Tugume Gloria Rwabita, married to Mr. Ronnie Tugume. I have a daughter Tabitha who is 1 year and 8 months and another baby on the way. I joined FLN in June 2008 after taking a year off to look after Tabitha. Previously I had spent 3years and 6 months working with DFW Bank. I have a passion for families and I believe in the work that FLN is doing. It is fulfilling to be part of an organization that is making a difference in the life of many people. As an administrator I am expected to meet the needs of the staff, which is not always easy. My work requires that I make their work easy. I have to deal with people with different personalities which means that I must have people with skills working with the bank give same experience in this area. I am also expected to see that the organization runs smoothly which is no easy task but with God’s help I know I will make it.

Gloria Mutonyi,  Program officer
Mutonyi is program officer for young adults, a new depart on board this year in Family Life Network. She is hard working and has got a passion for young people to see them equipped and inspired to discover their God given potential and benefit their communities. Gloria is a graduate of Developmental Studies at Makerere University, with three years experience in research, advocacy and social work.

As a result the Young Adult Department at FLN is there to equip inspire, guide and direct the young adults to become useful and responsible citizens of the nation.

Now young adults sound unreal but believe me this category exists though it’s given less attention at times. Have you come across some one who does not feel comfortable being called a youth simply coz they are about 23yrs old and at the same time feels uneasy being called an adult because they are 23 yrs young? Then that’s a young adult. Sometimes we call them young workers however we do not want to be so specific because some of them are not yet working but still fall under this category.

The young adults’ desk at Family Life Network brings together people of this category to listen to their burning issues, guide them and also offer counsel and programs in response to those issues. Some of the issues for which programs are designed include;

  • Settling and excelling in the working class for the first time (attracting growth)
  • Seeking autonomy from family (leaving home)
  • Successful courtship/relating
  • Single and patient(age is just a number, handling relationship pressure)
  • Pre-marital counseling
  • Handling marital preparation pressure (internal and external)
  • T.O.T Peer educators’ courses.
  • Group and personal counseling.
  • together and dinners.
  • Sensitization seminars in academic and religious institutions.
  • And much much more………………………

Guess now you know where you belong. Yeah that’s what young adults are up to! Till then see you in any of our proggies soon.
Interested? You could invite us to talk to a group of young adults/workers at your place of worship, workplace, university, community etc.

Damalie Muhoozi – Fundraising Officer
Damalie MuhooziI am married to Mr. Moses Muhoozi since March 2008. I hold a bachelors degree in Library and Information Science, I work as the fundraising Officer in Family Life Network.

Experience at FLN
After completing my Advanced level, in my vocation a friend of mine introduced me to FLN in March 2003. I did a lot of voluntary work and some office errands. I started my course at MUK and continued with this work until when I graduated in 2006 and I became the front desk and follow up manager. Later on I took on the fundraising until now. As the fundraising officer, I reach individuals who are willing to contribute to FLN and these are the members and partners. My major role is to see to it that members and partners give their pledges, that they get communication required and also to entice more people to partner with us.
